Nova loon 16" alloys

Hi guys,

Just a quick question really...

Just put some 16" softstar alloys on the loon with 195 45 16 tyres...

My question is: it handles crap, very bumpy & shakes a little...

My 1st fault was balancing but its ok...

Is this common on the loon or any nova with 16"s?

Gonna lower it 60mm nxt weekend mayb this will help.

The softstars were off my corsa c is the nova better on 15"s?

Any help would be great as its my 1st nova...

what springs & dampers are you using at the moment?????

I'm guessing that the tracking is out, & maybe the bushes are tatered, & the wide wheels are exagerating it.

Oh, & what pressure are they at? I'm guessing they need about 25psi fromt & 32 rear.

The loon is on standard springs & dampers..

I have a set of spax 60mm to put on nxt week..

I havnt had the tracking done but will do tom..

psi 28 front & 30 rear..

had new tyres yest, gonna pop down & get the balancing redone.

it will handle like a narrowboat on std springs,
but the tracking will be a huge improvement, just don't do it till you've swapped the springs & dampers, cos it will need doing after anyway.

you may have to fiddle about with the tyre pressures, look on the michelin chart at later corsas to try & find the closest one.
