I want to modify my nova...by rising it! (sorry, that is just a joek!!!!!)

I have boght it recently, it is replacing my robin. I love my robin simple lines and style, and easy driving, but now I have wanted to have 4 wheels. The nova is liek the robin, but with an extra wheel! I love it! It has more room.

Heres a problem: lifting it. For the robin, I have only one ramp to drive up it. I buyed 2 ramps with a friend with robins, and we have one each.

Now I need 2 ramps, to see the nova lusty engine and work it. does anyone have a ramp spare, or can I hire it?

But also: more of my car. It has wite colour and is wearing a D. I am going to fit more engine, as it will then win at the street!!! I will fit a turbo and some nitros, and also a valve. Do you now how big the wheels that can fit, dose this need new tires?

Could be a serious post!? Reliant Robins cool cars - had a m8 with a 4 wheel one - strengthened it and dropped some daft engine it - fuckin flew like nothing I've ever seen! Like then Fiat 126's!

Ref Ramps - get one from halfords - ?20 each! Any auto shop will sell them. Cost yer more to hire it - dont think you can?

OR get Axle stands - jack up each side - shove stands underneath support points where jack goes - just as good ?10 from halfords - ?2.99 for chocks for back wheels.

Cars a D plate - what spec? 1.6 etc. Fitting valver/nitros/turbo etc requires some specialist knowledge around the nova/engines etc - plenty on peeps this site done that kind of stuff and you'll prob need to strengthen the body too. Plenty of 2lts turbo novas been built - rapid as fcuk.

Tyres - 15's will fit on fine - et45-49 offset. Anything bigger need to mod the arches (grind/roll the backs, get bigger arches fitted etc...)

I am delayd for replying, I was offended but looking back and turned my cheek now.

I have got the 2 ramp now, it is great! my Nova is lifted easier now. I have some oil on the engine not lots but a drip, is it normal?

I think it is a 12 engine, is this rite? i will throw it out, and but a big engine with a turbo, what will fit easyly? I have lots of money from selled the robin, so it is bnot a problem.

I heared a valve fits on all engines to make more bhps, who sells one? It fits on the 'mannyfold' I think? Will it make a big noise, I hear a car that goes 'hissssssssss' when he acxlarated and then stops, I want the valve to do this?

Also for safety, i need more air bags. Wich will fit my max street racer?

also do not melt my robin it is selled to some man, please! I think it burns more than melts too, my first robin did this. It was shocking, but only my frend got a little burned not me.

Where are you from - if yer text is being converted sounds like Russia!

As for oil - stick some newspaper under the car and work out where it is coming from.
Is there oil around the top -could berocker gasket leaking?
Is the oil coming from under neath - middle - could be sump plug or sump gasket?

Is the oil black or red - if red its yer gearbox (I think thats right... :? )
If black then its engine oil

the "Vaule" you refer to sounds like a dump value! Dont think these work as well on a 12 (presume you mean 1.2) engine. You want to get yourself something with more grunt like a 1.6 or 2ltr turbo for max effect. With a 2ltr engine you may need to modify the engne bay and strengthen it. Speak to Ian or another moderator on the site ref this...but only if yer serious and not p1ssing about.

As for "more" airbags, the nova never had any to start with. Dont bother with them - theyre expensive and an ass to fit and if they go off in yer face they onlky destroy yer dash and brake yer teeth/nose and if you wear glasses blind you with glass!!! :o

If you are serious about building a racing nova, get a roll cage and some decent racing seats with proper harnesses. Strip out the back and rig it up properly.

Alternatively as you mentioned cash aint a problem, have a look on e-bay under "vauxhall nova", theres a racing spec nova for salke on there for about a grand! looks smart!

And whats this about yer m8 getting burnt in yer robin! :o lol thats a story a DEFINATELY WANT to hear :lol:
