im going from a mk1 1.2 to a mk2 1.2 how much will it cost me to transfer the insurance and will it make any difference to my premium?

Should make any difference I wouldn't think.

Pretty "scandalous" if it does.

yeah im hoping its just a straight swap. didnt know if there would be a charge for transferring to new car though. i just heard that when a mate went from his old nova to a newer one it was extra £150 a year and £25 to transfer insurance

There could be problems if they are different models etc.

For some reason, a Mk2 1.2 cost me £50 more than a Mk1 1.2 with Tesco, way back in the day.

Most insurance companies will probably adjust a little for age, newer car being more expensive and all that, but I wouldn't think it will be much if anything.
