the car is originally a 1991 vauxhall nova gsi and is still regestered as a
1600cc car, as far as i am aware it has never had a re-spray and is the
original as it left the factory.
car has had various welding done over the years and in the mot testers the body
is strutully 'stronger then a train'. fully seem welded under the bonnet, the
engine is from a cavalier sri which had 1 lady owner from new, i have alot of
history to back this up and is the only reason why i build this car rather than
having a car with a 200k+ engine in it, the engine had done 92k when i got it
and has done about 2700 miles wilst been in the nova, i have had a new clutch
put in 600 miles ago with a warranty as was believed to be the original from
that engine, car was build with the entention of only used as a track car so i
had th f20 gearbox fully recondisioned and asked to be made up with only 4
gears. top speed i have had is 115 which is more then fast enough but the speed
in which it gets there is unbelievable.car has been to santapod race track at
the begining of last month for usc2008 and constantly ran times of 13.7.
i have tried to keep it looking as original as possible so everybody thinks its
just another nova till you put your foot hard down, interior wise it has been
left standard with full gsi trim the onlt thing i have changed is the dash
clocks to a set from a astra gte which are the digital dash clocks but
unfortunatly the millage is incorrect for the engine and showing 138k at the
moment, car includes an alpine headunit and amp and an infinity sub with fusion
front speakers hidden under the dash, no holes in door cards and has slight
wear to drivers seat bolster.
car pulls very well through the gears and in my view nothing can keep up with
it.
there are a few bad bits so il list them all and how bad they are just so you know exactly what your getting in as much detail as possible,
1, the heaters do not work, i believe that this is due to when i put the engine
in i didn't connect the earth from the heaters back to the chassis rail,
2, has a black bonnet on but there is a patch near the middle where the lacker
has started to come away,
3, the sunroof only goes up and not back, this is due to the car previously
being sat up for nearly 3 years before i bought it and there just being **** in
the runners, would possibly work with a good clean through,
4, some idiot tried to break in to the car through the drivers door, i have
replaced the door lock but you can still tell its been attempted and there is a
slight bent on the door piller, also the bottom drivers door hinge is loose
from the break in,
5, the odd 3-4 tiny dents to the passenger A pillar from where new doors where
fitted and old 1's where siezed,
6, there is rust coming through on the inside of the boot.( not visible from
outside)
i am looking at 1500 for the car with mot till next june and tax till the end
of the year but will take offers around 1400 with no sterio, only reason for
sale is i have a kid on the way and miss's says it has to go, if you need
