single wiper help needed

My nova has a storm single wiper conversion done and up till a couple of weeks ago it was fine
then all of a sudden it started to play up

When you switch it on the wiper comes over from the passenger side but when its at the drivers side instead of going back over the screen it jumps then goes down onto the scuttle panel
But if im outside the car and put my hand on the window it comes over to where it should, hits my hand and goes back over the screen like it should

Has anyone had a similar problem or does anyone have any advice as to whats wrong with it?

try taking it of and reseting it back in the park position where u had it before could have just jumped some splines

ive already tryed that^^^
i have had the whole thing off and put it back together

I am guessing that there is a bit of wear in the link, so the arm link is going past halfway.

take the blade & the linkage off, and move it back a couple of splines, tape a bit of card with a pointer onto the spindle, & play around with it till it works right.
