which sparkplugs to choose?

I have just bought a nova gsi turbo and im having a few problems
trying to get it too run properly.
1st i changed the plugs to GM plugs but after taking it for one drive it started missing and now put the old plugs back in to find its blown a plug in one journey.

My old plugs are also short reach plugs.
What i wandering is what are the best plugs to go for in a turbo
and why would it be fitted with short reach plugs?

Any help would be great

[1.6 8v turbo nova]

I fitted my 1.6 gsi turbo with them 'super t's' the ones with 4 heads on when i had the rebuild done, never missed a beat/ had any problems. (cover 1.6k miles with)
