Windscreen Wipers link pop out!

Hey,

My nova 1.2 merit J-reg 1991(incase you need details) today the drivers side windscreen wiper popped out and it was pissing down with rain so i had to lean to the left to see! haha. but when i opened it up the linkage had popped out so i pushed it back on, i turned the wipers back on and it worked!! for two wipes and then popped out again :( do i have to buy a new linkage or is there a way to fix it?

there are ways round it, but its better to replace the arm/balljoint assembly. as having wipers that cannot be relied on is not safe.

in the mean time being try and put a bit of tape around the linkage, just put it around it loosely so it cant drop down but it can still move, work as a temporary solution for me
