Im going to be welding a new skin sill on my 3door hatch next week and also an arch repair panel on the same side as the sill. Was just wondering which one i should put on 1st please. Many thanks,Andy
to be honest it doesnt really matter. id do the sill first because imo they are easier

yes meaning i presume you cut the sill out like a rear arch panel repair
well the proper way to do it is cut the old one out. i have seen them just welded over the top tho
No i wasnt going to do that lol thats just hiding the problem! I didnt know if there were any spot welds to drill out?
No i wasnt going to do that lol thats just hiding the problem! I didnt know if there were any spot welds to drill out? just millions lol. you better of using a cutting disk to cut the old one of the grinding off whats left
The sill is on now.Just wondering what i go over the welds with,ie primer before filler etc as i have heard different ways to do this.Any help is always appreciated
Just fill over them and cover with underseal, stone ship or seam sealer on the inside as whats seen will be painted anyway.
Etch Primer on bare metal, then underseal or what ever i think
It was the welds inside the door step area i was more concerned about really
any bare metal/welds, just slap it on buddy
Nah etch prime the bare metal. then do what you want ;)
j/w was gona have a chat about welding n **** save clogging threads up.. another day tho bud, i'm back on days tmora so should realy be in bed lol
