Cam Removal Tool?

hi guys, i need to take the cam out of me 8v but dont want to disturb the head etc. would i be right in thinking there was a guide on here on how to make a sykes pickavant copy to do the job? if there was can anyone link me to it of not does anyone know how to make one?
