Strange things growing in my car!

The Nova has been left in the garage for over a week whilst I have been on holiday and just went to get it out last night to find something mysterious had sprouted in the drivers side foot well! lol

No Idea where it's come from, just looks like some sort of funky mold!

Anyone else had things sunddenly start growing in their car? lol

ive had them before, how they get there i dont know. but i thrown the carpet away after as i couldnt get it all out :(

Funny its happend after a week though, the SR has been parked at my Grans since Feb 07 and only has a little bit on the steering wheel.
Is it damp in there?

If its damp in your car then leave a few bags of silica gel (the stuff that says do not eat on it in the box with your new trainers) find some of them and leave in ya car, no more moisture or mould then, if it is where i asked its cos your soundproofing under the carpet is wet/soaked and promoting mouldy type growth so its carpets out to dry it all out!

That makes sense, will have to whip the front carpets out to dry and see what is revealled tomorrow then...

I had it a few years back in my old nova, was a leak from a very corner of the screen down the bulkhead and soak un-noticably into the foam type stuff under the carpets but constant hoofing from my feet stopped anything protruding, but when she went off the road for a bit *boom* instant mini-mushroom/mould factory, when i shifted the carpets out the foam was completely sodden so i binned it lol
