Any reason why tou want a 1.8?

The reason I ask is the 1.8 8v's are big block, and in all honesty, pretty crap. You may as well fit a 2.0 SEH as its the same amount of work, and probably not much more insurance wise.

yes cav sri astra gte 2.0 seh
there is no point in the 1.8 8v tbh better off with 1.6 and use same shafts hubs ect than go 1.8, 20seh is multi point and 130 bhp, above 1.6 is big block engine unless you go 16valve rare 1.8 small block, with big block you need to use modded shafts or shafts and hubs and mounting kit

Yep. The 130bhp variant. Not to be mistaken for the NE which is only 110 ish

Theres no point thinking a carb engine is easier to install either. Its not in all honesty. By the time you have serviced the 30 yr old carb & got it working, you could have sourced & joined the 5 wires to make an injection system work.

2.0 8v For The Win!
