Looking smart! Those brakes look dwarfed behind those wheels. Get that front bumper fitted up properly:thumb: M3 type skirts shouldnt look too bad.

thanks for the comments (quite chuffed with them) the front bumper is only placed on atm to make sure it doesn't look to high (like a tank) with the 17's on, i like the white against it but the 17's have been sitting round for a while in the garage and they really do sit well under the arches, the brakes totally
agree need some v6 or at least ate's on, wing looks a wee dodgy because it had some sort of over spray on and i used quite a harsh rubbing compound on it today but will buff up paint will come for the rear quarter tomorrow its in primer atm

Great to see a 5-door being done up! Gawd you don't waste time and the work looks good.

My car, a 5-door, is virtually untouched and I am inclined to keep it that way. It hasn't got any rust problems so it doesn't need any welding.

I wondered what you had in mind for the brakes or are you happy with what you already have?

14-09-08, 09:10 PM
got to be bigger brakes behind these wheels and well lets face it the standard 1.2 items are not up to much, discs all round i think

Looks good, but why have you screwed through the sides of the front bumper?

Pistol Pete
15-09-08, 09:25 PM
As above, why the screws? Rear quarter panel looks good though.

15-09-08, 09:40 PM
it had mk2 front bumper on and i have no mounts for mk1 so its a temp measure bumper is not in top cond anyway im going to get another and smooth the lines, the rear quarter was a right pain in the ar$e get it right still no laquer on yet so will look a lil better than it does,.................i knew the f/b pins would be spotted

Pistol Pete
15-09-08, 10:05 PM
lol, some of us have a keen eye!! No worries though, like you say its a temp measure so.. Car does look good. What other plans have yougot for it? Side skirts?

just vaux trev
15-09-08, 10:57 PM
iv been looking at newer vaux side skirts.... something subtle,
but i dont usually go out looking to buy stuff i let it come to me that way it's cheap lol

15-09-08, 11:36 PM
Looks nice, to be fair im not usaly a fan of stupid big looking wheels, but i like those, they suit the car.

Sorry if this has been posted but whats your plans for it now?

just vaux trev
16-09-08, 11:02 AM
/\ i think they suit it too could prob do with wider spokes but..,
plans now mainly engine, iv been planning 1.2 multi point build
simply because of the is there anything you can do to a 1.2 debate
and i have never seen one, atm this is not looking to good but if that fails i may look for 1.6 or i have a red top and all bits for conversion i can throw in,
prob smooth gte bumpers and subtle up-dated skirts mk4 astra ect
