A friend of mine has a 1.6SPi vectra (N reg). When it is hot weather it drops into limp mode often. The hotter the day the quicker into limp mode. In cold weather its poor to drive too.
I was thinking the EGR is fuggered or maybe CTS.
Anyone any ideas?

Tis quite alright dre always here for stuff like that, has it been serviced at all or recently, but you wont have to worry over winter as its not warm lol so in theory it should run fine in winter so in which case mint it up and sell it haha!

If it's only when the air temparature is above a certain point I'd be tempted to point to the hot-wire element that measures that in the maf (if it has one?), though it could possibly have something to do with the cts or maybe the lambda senors.

(1.6spi, bloody hell, the x18xe's slow enough for a 12v corsa to have fun with!)

Don't think it has a MAF mate.
Yeah could be the lambda sensor, assuming they only have one.
I was unaware they did a 1.6SPi so don't really know much about it.
Prob change the lambda and cts and see what happens

Id go with cts or lambda.
They dont have a air flow meter.

If its going to limp mode, get the fault code as the ecu light should be on.....
