In 1995 Ford decided to Axe the Escort Cosworth as the engine had been produced for over 10 years. This caused a bit of an argument resulting in the resignation of most of Fords Design Staff.

Under pressure, Ford needed new staff as the new car was due to be produced so they hired a bunch of Hair Dressers, the first people they found. Having no idea whatsoever they changed the Grill and the bumpers on the Car, called it a Mk6 and then let the Gay Men Hair Dressers loose on the Car which resulted in the above "Prototype". Ford, being worried about the look of the car, then stuck a V8 Single Turbo into the car supplied by Asdas and then hosted a press launch.

They were laughed at and the car was kicked out. Nice to see the Prototype still lives on.
