my mate does it with a mk1/2 escort rear axle and custom propshaft :thumb:
its been asked about so many times that us older members are sick of answering it.....
If I tell you that a nova actually has the same wheelbase & track as a mk2 escort, that should give you a hell of a hint.
the problem with a conversion like this is that you end up with a car with absolutey no rear end traction & rather a lot of understeer due to the engine being so far forward. & end up skint.
you should give up the idea & concentrate on sticking a decent engine in a nova & keeping it FWD, but spend some time & effort on making it handle well. it will be tons faster & worth more.
sorry for asking the question again. i was just wondering as i seen a video of a RWD nova dohnutting in a car park.
was it blue? that would have been Austins

it was that mid engined 16v one.........
there have been quite a few attempts at a mid engined nova, there is one ongoing in projects that has some serious work being done on it.
unfortunately, the sort of car that does great donuts on youtube is probably incapable of anything else, that particular nova has never been seen anywhere else, if it was capable of serious speed down the road, someone would have filmed it as well
