Have recently bought nova flair as a project, with GTE engine with Dellorto DHLA twin 40's, high lift cam, Facet electronic fuel pump and regulator. Problem is its overfueling and idling very high. I have noticed that there seems to be a gap between carbs and inlet manifold, there is like a metal gasket but they seem loose.
Done a search on the site and see in photos there seems to be a rubber type gasket in the majority of inlets. Need some advice as am new in the game.

Has it ever run right? If not then your best bet will be to get it set up properly by someone who knows what they are doing. The carbs may need servicing/rebuilding, but there's quite a few possibilities really.

What PSI is the regulator set at and is it all working correctly? What regulator is it? Ideally it wants to be set around 3.5 - 4 PSI.

There are alloy mounting plates so you may just have these in lieu of rubber ones which is nothing to be concerned with. Its quite normal for the carbs to be slightly loose, they will (should) be sealed on the internal opening.

If you can get a pic up of your setup it may highlight a couple of things [but you will need to make 15 constructive posts first].
