View Full Version : Nova TD any good?
Hi guys, I have not been on the site in ages as I have not had a nova in ages, but I am in need of a small vehicle in thats a diesel for short motorway trips.
How many miles would you expect to get out of A 1.5 td?
Is it just as easy to do the cam belt on it as it is a GTE/GSi?
Is the mpg good?
Cheers all

piddle piss

50-55mpg unmodded, 40-45mpg modded, 8mpg supermoded
ooo fast answers, cheers General :)
I have seen one that has 80k on the clock going for pennies with nearly a years mot on it. I could do the cambelt and bits and should get six months that I need out of it :)
My 1.5D went for ever..........until the axle snapped......then it carried on a little bit more lol lol

Quite nippy too
Sounds good to me, shame its a four door though, but it will do the trick, and in the garage I have a set of lowering springs, front and rear strut braces and Cav Gsi wheels all from back in the day. Don't know if the springs will fit though cos my last love was a three door.

The td is a very good choice the springs will fit to.
Won the sale, so picking her up tomorrow :)
Will post up picks, and then put a bit of work in over my two weeks leave and see what comes out the other end :)
Was meant to be a runabout, but all I want to do now is fiddle with it haha
