My step brother phoned me on Saturday and asked if I was about, he wanted to show me his new motor. SO he landed, got a good look round and found 5 Fully fitted and Functional Strut Braces, it had Coilovers and a 2.5" Bore system etc etc etc etc. So he took me for a run 2 miles down the road and I drove it back up. Very fast, very smooth delivery and very good in the corners, so much so he asked me to slow it up. Generally a whole lot of car for the little money that was paid for it. I actually secretly liked it.

A DC2 is an awesome bit of engineering :) Recently been helping a mate rebuild the motor in his. Vtec witchery lol

There seemed to be a 2 stage Vtec in it though, one at 5k and the second at 7k.

its more than likely a flat spot from aftermarket upgrades
tell him to get it unichipped and mapped

I dunno Stoo, it still pulls realy well but the kick in is very noticable.

Vtec should be at 6kRPM
there will be a slight dip in power first
