no point in using the 2.2 from the omega. heavyer, less power and more work to put in with wiring ect. just use a redtop

Wow, not only can you not be helpful but you cant even come up with something witty yourself. Thats very sad.

Aaron, As said, get a 2.0 8v from a Cavalier as the Omega Engine is RWD and everythings ****ways.

Get a Chris Astley Conversion kit and its all bolt in and the wiring isnt an issue either. Where are you Track Daying this car? What seats you going for?

Bigs, isnt the Frontera Engine a Chain Driven engine as opposed to a Belt?

nope because the early frontera engine is still a xe. if you looks at my link to my project page you will see the 2.2 bottom end clearly with a belt. its about half way down the page

Isnt the Omega 2.2 the Z22SE chain driven, US motor as used in VX220's etc?

In which case it wont fit in a Cors or Nova (really)

Yes thats right all the other 2.2 blocks vauxhall made is chain driven. The only one they made that was belt driven is the one from the early frontera. Thats why it took me best part of two years to find one as there not a easy find i tell you!
