Remove everything from the inside unless it's needed to get through an mot, so that's all the trim, carpets, sound deadening, basicly just leaving the drivers seat, steering wheel, pedals, clocks and switchgear.

Then change the gearbox for a close ratio version and maybe swap the final drive ratio.

Total cost for that lot = whatever the gearbox costs you.

awww Stoo, I love you too :D

Aaragorn wrote the 1.2i tuning guide that is in the articles section.

most of the basic 8V tuning stuff can be used on all 1.2-1.6 nova engines, so reading any of the tuning guides is a wise move as some cover other aspects (my 1400 guide in my sig link is handy too).

dont forget to declare the mods ;)

seriously though, the 1.2 is never going to set the world on fire... sticking a std 1.4 in will be loads better, & cheaper on the insurance

buy a faster car :/
Insurance is expensive for a reason if your young.
So either live with a 1.2 or put up with paying more for insurance.
What ever mod's you do will put up the price of your insurance anyways.
