Hi all been nosing around here long enough without talking so i now announce my voyage into the world of the png community, aside that i have got my second nova its a saloon minter :D but it looks a lil ghayish imho, going to smooth the tailgate but dont know wether it will be best to fill the plastic surround with the grooved lines in or take it off and weld a metal plate then skim a tiny layer of filler over? help would be much appreciated as i am no body expert just good with engines :p

Filling the plastic trim would be a lot easier than welding a plate onto the rear panel. Baxter smoothed his out iirc.

If it's got the black plastic panel take it off and fill it, it'll take a bit of carefull sanding back down to avoid the lines still being visible though. I did mine waay back in 2001.

Has anyone got a photo of the finished article? tried to look for it but cant find it, also iirc it will need to be keyed up before filler, can someone pls fill me in :p

Yeah some of the early saloons didn't have them at all.
