For £500? Errrmmmm.... nothing particularly fast lol

Scour ebay and see what you get lucky on. If you're not too fussed on what you get then you should have a lot of options, just keep an eye on what ending soon with not many bids.

Bear in mind thats an American car. A 2.5V6 over there is equivalent to a 900cc engine over here.

LOL just looked, the 1984 Fiero gets a tarmac shredding 92bhp from that V6 engine, and weighs 1124Kgs. Mmmmm, slow lol

How about an Astra GSi or Pug 306?

just strip out the punto of everything. the noise alone will give the impression you are going miles faster. lol

Mk3 Cav SRi, early one. Fantastic car for abusing, love to hit the limiter and are easily bought for £500.

Fit some 14" Steel wheels, crack the front windscreen and have a huge burnt out Exhaust and you're elected. YOu could be one of our locat "Hoods Sham". lol

Seriously though, I love these cars.

a dirty fcuker of a 106... a riot to drive (even the 1.1 ones), cheap to insure/tax/blahhh. Just they are a bit of a pig when they go wrong lol

Mike

205 GTi or even a 106 GTi (I paid £175 for a 106 GTi on a N reg IIRC from a salvage auction lol)

Dod

I cant drive 106's as the pedals are too close together.

I agree with Meritlover as well as my origional suggestion of an 8v Cavalier though.

Weld the diff in the Omega and Jag and you're away like the Dukes!!
