can anyone remember this game. i found a floppy disk the other day and it still worked:). turned out to be monkey island.
i remember parts of this game like the scumm bar. and the part where you need to find away across a cable over a canyon type thing.
i knew the graphics werent going to be good as its a very old game but it turned out to be a bunch of squares moving about a screen as if it were done in ms paint

haha its a brilliant game and i am to complete it this time. but it is honestly the hardest game i have played in a while. some of the stuff you just wouldnt figure out without a walkthrough.

Old games FTW, High Seas Trader is one of my favourites. Or mid/late 90's games such as Terra Nova and Interstate 76.
Thats back in the days when gameplay was more important than flashy graphics though.

Oh my God, thats sooooo good!!
Anyone remember Alex the Kid on the Sega Master System. I still have it somewhere actually.
Old games are never as good as you remember though...eg, Roadrash is aweful now, but back in its day it was the best game imo..

True, but that doesn't apply to Monkey Island - it was ace way back and it's still great now. Graphics are pant's yeah but it's just a great game.

Me and my bro went thru a stage of buying old systems a few years back. Everything from NES with Duck hunt, a SNES foir Mario kart and steetfighter, Megadrive with road rash, and for a real curve ball, Archimedes with Lander and Chocks Away...
Fatal Racing FTW. Also Recoil was awesome, it was a stop gap game whilst the company (Westwood?) were making Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun.
Anyone remember those two?
I've been playing Transport Tycoon and Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 to relieve my boredom of being in hospital, they're still just as good as they used to be :D
I can't get into modern games, I buy Xbox's, playstations etc and they just end up sitting around collecting dust!
Oh and if ya like the Monkey Island series, see if ya can get hold of Indiana Jones and the fate of atlantis (There's loads more Indy ones, but the names escape me), Sam n Max, Day of the Tentacle...
i still van my NES laying around somewhere lol
duckhunt still rules:D
Does anyone remember Flashback on the mega drive? It was so hard!
