Hi guys i did a deal with a guy for this
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q196/astranin/Nova%202/636233-1.jpg
so far im not impressed i have had to change the discs because they were warped how the other guy drove it ill never know so i done that and also changed the wheels
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q196/astranin/Nova%202/P240808_1240.jpg
I then took it down to one of my mates houses and we were going to fit my digi dash into it HAPPY DAYS all was ok at this point UNTIL we took the dash off and noticed that most of the wires behind it were melted together NOT HAPPY DAYS so we proceded to cut out the melted wires one by out and solder in new wires but since then we could only get the speedo working as its not attached to the loom we got all the extirior lights working so its time to get a whole new loom and rewire the car and thats as far as i have got .
its a MK1 1.2 merit shell with a facelift in good condition bar the rear arches and a good t-cut its got a 1.6 gte lump init and a full stainless (infinity) i think and the rear is completely striped the front has 2 gte seats door cards and a crap excuse for a gsi dash (grey dash sprayed black)
thats all i got at the mo

26-08-08, 04:29 PM
Nah it ma belt The simps
The problem i have with the grille is when the black bit is fitted the whole grille sits forward and makes it look stupid if anyone knows how to solve this please let me know im not realy a fan of mesh either but if mesh is the only way i can slove it then so be it

26-08-08, 05:26 PM
welsh dan: it is a dark blue that needs a dam good T-Cut
For some reason I didnt realise renaults ran 4x100 pcd. If the offset was right I think they'd look quite nice on a Nova tbh. New wheels look nice too though :)
ant_tay
26-08-08, 05:33 PM
i hate the renault wheels they were the first thing that had to go if you know any one who wants them let me know the new wheels are a 40 offset and are perfect

I'd love a set of those wheels but not in gloss black :)
A bit too far away as well

I say you should do this
keep the GTE Seats
sell the GSI Bumper
sell the headlights, indicators and grille
sell the wheels
sell the rear bumper
sell the wings
strip the car down to bare shell
cut any rust off
weld it up
have the whole car painted (preferably white)
then get the folowing parts :
a MK1 Front bumper, grille, headlights and wings
http://www.pngclub.com/images/car_images/3298big2.jpg
A MK1 Rear bumper
http://www.pngclub.com/images/car_images/3298big4.jpg
buy a set of cavvy slabs :thumb:
http://www.pngclub.com/images/car_images/973big.jpg
slam it and i think your done
reason id sell all the mk2 parts, is because i think no MK1 Nova deserves to look like a mk2
Also you just wrecked a nova grille by meshing it

Couldn't agree more. They definately don't deserve it! lol

Not a bad looking car, you got there. I had Renault 19/Clio 16v on my first Nova (RIP). They are 4x100 PCD but not quite the right offset. They rubbed on the front bigtime, and i had abit of chaffing in the rear (ooo er misses)! I thought they looked good, each to their own!
MK2 conversion doesnt look too bad. Good colour aswell, what is it? Not keen on the new wheels.
R19/Clio ph2 16v rims are cool on Novas IMO. One of my all time favourites had them on, was a Q plate Citrine yellow GSi. Possibly the one with the twin hump vent things on the bonnet lol.
Keep it up pal :)

cheers guys in mot going to keep the meshim gonna modify the black insert to fit properly and the car is gonna be painted white and im keeping the wheels that are on there.
The renault wheels have a gold flake but could do with being refurbed and they still go 2 good tyres on them anyone wants them let me know and much to some peoples disapproval im keeping the facelift and im not sure of the colour
got a 60mm lowering kit that will be going on it at the end of the week i will update then
THANKS FOR YOUR OPINIONS GUYS

26-08-08, 08:59 PM
yes I do. black bumpers work better with certain colours. White & red being too. I am biased tho. I've had mine gloss black and also a textured matt black. I prefered the matt look personally.

well i wasent having black bumpers i have been converted
The Simps
26-08-08, 09:10 PM
The pic above is more of a satin finish.
I had the bumpers redone in a textured finish in matt black. A lot of olders cars had the bumpers done in this colour for example nissa micras in the late 90s. I like it, just took the shine off.
