correct oil!

hi,is this the correct oil i should be using in my 1.6 gte(e16se)

i currently have castrol ,but have been told to use gm's own oil!?
also is the above link a bargain, or can i get it cheaper from the local motorfactors.
this may sound silly but i wouldnt ask if i knew so here goes;if i were to buy the above oils(in the link)do they have a sell by date to them??:confused: :thumb:

i use that, and i have the same engine, but with a turbo on it.

Works fine and that is gms own oil, it says on the back.

Im sure its cheaper than that from vauxhall? will definatly be cheaper in halfrauds/motorfactors

GM oil from vauxhall is good stuff, and priced well. I've even used it in the Celica before lol

10/40 is spot on. Cheap enough to replace frequently.

I just use whatever brand from my parts supplier, normally about £12 for 5L but where mines done a few miles I use 15/40.

I'm sure you can get it cheaper than that via a trade club card from the likes of MIG etc.... infact thats probably someone buying it on trade card and selling at marginaly less than full price lol

We were getting it for £24 for a box of 4 from Vaux, but i do know the prices were due a hike.

i think four,five litre tubs at £34.95+8.95=43.90,pretty cheap considering its getting delivered to my door,ill go back to the gm oil,after your comments.cheers
