bought this on saturday , on the way home the engine mount decided to snap , the bolts have beeing drilled out of the block before and then bodge a second time , therefore a new 1.5td isuzu lump will be going in , any one no any history of the car???
i will get some new pictures added soon , going the clean the einge bay and maybe give it a lick of paint to tidy the job up abit
does anybody no anything about how to tune the 1.5 td engine up , increase boost and fuel etc , and what sort of power gains would you get????

no adamz it doesnt fit straight in but as you have a complete 1.5 you have everything you need. basically eveything like alternator, mounts, pulleys and stuff needs swopping over. its not a hard job and will only take a few hours so it deffo worth it

yep you will need to use the flywheel and clutch from the 1.5 tho,
id go with the F15 if your going to tune tho, i managed to rip 2 F20's to bits in a week with my TD :thumb:

still love this car mate. was my old one. bonnet i used to use bumper gel comes up like new. the bodyshop were i took it couldn't do anything cause of reactions and stuff. keep me posted mate.

it coming of i think mate , not to my taste , i back to blacked it the other day and it did come up well , it just doesn't seem to fit right , where did you get it from , its the first one i have seen :S:S

ye its stupidly lighter lol , can lift it with you little finger when its not on the car , it weighs more or less nothing lol

i bought the bonnet second hand of a mate 200 rips. it doesnt fit right at the bonnet pins. this was me 2 excited and didnt mark it up properly. at the back a bolt snappen of the bodyshop fibre glassed 1 back in, this is y it sits up. it made hell of a difference when i put it on felt like power stering.
i havnt got a wip pics myself just when its finished.
make sure you look after it love to see it again soon.

think if you were to rub most of the fibre glass out at the back would sit alot more flush. bit of a bugga opening/closing it init haha.

i have a fully rebuilt 1.5 Td for sale just had new head gasket 8 new valves full head set and timing belt comes with every thing bar loom wanting £150 have pictures and receipts of the rebuild
well i find out tomorow how much its goin to cost to fix so al let you no then , if i can ill come and get them tomorow night
will hopefully get some more photos up today

yeah corsa gone ,havnt got any spares lol
me and a mate got the engine put back in last night , got it running and it ran fine , just needs a few bits fixing and putting back together and it will be back out , i will try and get some pictures over the weekend

yeah but rear brake piston has gone so ive got no brakes on the van :( was coming up to scotter road and the pedal went straight to the floor :eek:
thats what you want , i was coming back from donny today and there was a really loud knocking , got home and checked everything and found that the bottom pully on the crank only had 2 bolt in it and they wer loose , the other two had fallen out :O:O , the pully was wobbling all over the place

Didnt catch you to speak to though as was talking to the lad in the nova next to yours with iain, the one with the "bike carbs" or so the owner said, something about the sticker on the bulkhead saying dellorto and the fact they were forties told me he was telling porkies lmao!

got my gte/gsi side skirts painted gloss back today , just got them fitted , its a little too dark to post up a pic but ill get one asap , thanks again martin for selling me them!!!

next up is a gsi front bumper and the wheels may get a colour change!!
just been out in the car for a drive , could here a grinding when turning right coming from, the passenger wheel , had a look around and couldnt seem to find anything , got home and poped the bonnet to find that the engine mount bolts are beginning to tear out of the block and the engine is lent slighty forward and tilting down on the cambelt side , i think im right in guessing that the noise is the drive shaft stressing , its only just had helicoils in the block and new stronger bolts , the standard mounts are clearly not strong enough to hold the diesel engines once the car has been lowered (the harsh bumps and bouncing etc....) looks like its an enigne back out then lol :(:(

the 1.7 is a large block, so you need large block shafts and gearbox mount,
its the same as fitting a 2L bar the engine mount
so big block gear box mount and a set of xe conversion shafts and a 1.7 will go straight in yeah??????

all you would need is some 22 spline shafts which yours might be, then you'd just need some 1.6 mk2 cav inner cv's to fit into a big block gearbox
i dont no what to do with it lol , dont have the time or the money , doesnt help with the winter coming , having no light after i leave work either

buy a cheap banger? to use over winter and then save money until after winter to get the nova on the road for spring time?
you cant get rid of it.. corsa's dont suit you haha youve allways needed another nova lol :thumb:

well on 3 conversions ive done ive never used the back spacer as its fitted bang on into place.. along with conversions ive seen other people do.. but then ive seen the spacer needed lol and without using the spacer ive had no problems :thumb:
problem solved now , swap the broken nova for a astra gsi xe lol , weapon lol , another nova in the future for deffiante though lol , red cars are always bad look for me lol had to go because it would just be a constant problem , my last red car soon started playing up lol will post some pics up of the astra tomorrow

i just bought a novavan on the blind was told it was a 1.5td turns out it was a 1.5d , going perfect but i can run faster. I have a 1.7td cav engine is there much to changing it over

a mate of mine has it in his garage , got a full new mount and an engine , has few extra bits on too now , i will get some pics next time im there mate

i fitted new full mount. i think its the bolts tho try enginering place see if they got stronger bolts. did u change the suspention?
