pre outs

i have the fli swat 3 headunit it has separate pre outs for front, rear, and sub. the front an rear are normal red and white but the sub out is just 1 yellow output how do i use it?

i always thought the yellow was for a picture on all other things red and white is sound and yellow is the picture output

Specs on the HU mention a "mono" sub output, so it appears that in their wisdom they've just given you one RCA output to go to an amp, and just decided to colour it yellow (obviously forgetting the usage of yellow in video connectors).

Budget indeed.

Just use the rear output RCA & use the amp to filter the sound down to below 150hz or so.
