Hi guys
Just been doing some work on my Nova rebuild and came across some rust. I'm wondering if it's too much to fix or not? The rust runs along the bottom of the rear inner arch and theres a hole into the boot.Any advise would be great because it would be a shame to scrap it.This is the first major rust i've found.

Thats nothing!
I really wish i took pics of my car with all the welding it needed, there was LOADS to be done, people on here scrap cars with far far less rust on them. Buy a MIG welder, learn to weld, you wont regret it.

Mine was far worse, just had it MOT'd with no mention of corrosion at all.
If you are intending of beginning a full rebuild then it is advisable IMO to start from the est shell you can, but it will involve far more expense right from the off. I say keep with it & weld her up, don't be ashamed of its condition & make a good job of the repairs & have a nice car to show the fruits of your labour.
Start a project thread & get it plated up.
/\ Well said.
As mentioned these things are getting hard to find. If you've got your own Garage to work on the car, then do a full rebuild. Be sure to take plenty of pics when disassembling the car and various parts for reference and if it requires a bit of extra work, do it.
A Nova is the best car to start on due to their simplicity and they're dead easy to work on, repair and upgrade. And if all else fails, you can sell the car on and still get a decent price for it.
mine had it to.. it is fixable :)

mine is much worse than that! just had a mechanic look at it yesterday. i have 2 BIG bits need doing underneath both front arches, just behind the n/s turret, underneath the n/s light, crossmember, underneath radiator, boot, 2 inner wings. . . :/
But because they're Novas its easy to do.
