thsi ahs just been copied over from vaux sport so if some of if dosent make any sence thats probaly why lol

some of you may know me because of the green nova some of you may not but i have another nova havent really said much about it but thought it was about time i put a progress thread up so you can all get an idea of what to expect ,
i am a bit of a funny ****er really wanting everything to be perfrect or as good as until im happy at least, so before i brought the shell i had to decide weather to by a brand new car or build one  me being me decided to build one
The shell itself is not the vauxsport way but the engine sure will be so here goes !!!
An this is what it all started from, brought the shell back in nov, turned up on rob's drive to be greeted by this

handeed over the cash and i was on my way a very happy man with a whole lot of work and hours on my plate :help:
Got the shell home and sat in the garage where is sat for a couple of months while i brought some parts and figure out what route i was going to take  (of which i still dont 9 months later) :pmsl:
Had to weld some brackets back into the car for the seats and the dash what rob had cut out to save weight (i can see you all cringing at the screen) :pmsl: and some how try and fit the rad intercooler and oil cooler all behind the front bumper, dont want it on show going for the stealth look :p
out came my best friend 'mr grinder' and ended up with this
sorry about the poor quality i really do need a new phone :thumb:

Rob77
12-01-09, 09:21 PM
Ha ha! I've not been on here in a while mate, just having a nosey about and found this thread!

You thinking about getting rid?

djbrowney
12-01-09, 09:25 PM
not really sure to be honest buddy, built a little corsa track slag an had so much fun in it ( but trashed it at the weekend), plan was to used this for track/strip/road but dont really wonna have it loaded with interior an bin it round a track so its catch 22 lol

what happened to your next project ?

Rob77
12-01-09, 09:32 PM
Yeh a track / strip / road car doesn't really need a full leather interior!!

My next project is on pause at the moment, due to moving in with my girlfriend (bought an apartment), and not having much time / money / space!

Got the car; its an 1986 E30 320i BMW, which is receiving an Audi 5 cylinder turbo (20v) engine from the S2 quattro... Will be rwd though. Should be a hoot!

I see you got it painted - looks very tidy! You manage to get the slight dent in the roof / sill out?

djbrowney
12-01-09, 09:37 PM
the one in the roof just poped out, but the one in the sill is still there completeley forgot about wheni dropped it of, thing it just need knocking back into place, the door, boot, bonnet, bumper, skirts ect has gota go back the spray job is not as good as the price i payed lol

you new project sound good mate, im fookin glad i dont have my own place wouldnt be able to afford anything lol

gota some nice leather interior if you wonna buy it lmfao

Rob77
12-01-09, 09:49 PM
Glad to hear the roof one popped out - should have done it when I owned it!!
Yeah I bet the sill one will knock out too thinking about it.
I'll give the leather a miss thanks mate! Could make it into a nice 3 piece suite for the new place though I guess!!!
Whats the plan if you keep it? Would you sell as a whole if you did? Or split it up? I'm getting all nostalgic...

djbrowney
12-01-09, 09:57 PM
what ever are you like lol

im really not sure mate, want i really want is a nice road going car eg golf/audi an a track/strip car being the nova lol (but the interior dosent fit that plan so im probaly gonna end up with another nova) (or 3 ****ing cars lol )

Everything is there mate just need putting together an cant remember the last time i updated the thread, i very much doubt i would sell the shell its still fookin mint :thumb:

Get ya self a cheap track slag, once youve had a nova you will always come back for more lol lol lol

Rob77
12-01-09, 10:05 PM
Ha I know what you mean!
Just a bit bored, as I've got rid of all my fast / silly vehicles, and I'm driving around in a 1.3 Skoda estate! Could it be worse?!
Thinking about getting a cheap rwd car, budget of £1000 (ideally less) and having some cheap fun!

djbrowney
12-01-09, 10:09 PM
build/buy a 2.0 16v corsa ftw cost you about £650 lmfao (you know the score)

Thats cheap fun an giving it death every night of the week is even more fun lol

djbrowney
12-01-09, 10:10 PM
an yes the skoda has got be a down side thank fook you have a bird lol

Rob77
12-01-09, 10:16 PM
Amen!
Could do a track Nova / Corsa, but its time and space at the moment which are the main problem. E30 is in a friends garage, and I got no drive / garage space to do anything creative!!

djbrowney
12-01-09, 10:19 PM
are you a man or a mouse you can build a 16v corsa in a day lmfao

Rob77
