i know this might sound like a daft question but are their any difference between the mk1 and mk2 head lights and rear lights, i only ask this because whilst attenmpting to strip my first nova (i cant even get the bumpers off) i noticed that my front lights were only held on by 2 screws on the top, leaving the bottoms to bounce off the bumper and knock against the body work, if ive posted in the wrong section then i do oppologise

mk1 and mk2 lights are totally diffrent, mk2 are smaller, there should be some plastic holders for the lights to rest on at the bottom though, all rear lights, including saloons are the same.

ive got a mk1 and the indicators and head lights are one complete unit, is this correct?

no you can separate them, easier once they're off the car.

Mk2 has clips under the lights, Mk1 just has some U-shaped rests iirc. Have a look in features for pics of Mk1s and Mk2s to see the difference of the lamp unit.

Some Mk2 lamps also came with load leveling motors too.

Only difference on rears is the LHD/RHD foglamp position, fitment is all the same :)
