Find me a C20XE !!!

hi guys been looking for a a C20XE engine for a couple of weeks now really cant find a good one whats runing so i can here it or one with low miles or been looked after.Brought this old girl last week (below) and its needs a new enginehttp://corsasport.co.uk/board/images/smile/smile.gif as old one is nakered. Looking for one from the cheshire area if poss.does anyone have one ???

mate of mine has jus took one out of his astra gsi mk3 its has around 90k on it its out of the car now so you cant see it running but i can assure you it does! hes after 250 without a gbox i have another mate whos taking one out of his corsa its still in at the mo so will be able to hear that running aswell! very fast engine hes after 250 for it and thats with everything both located in cheshire

there are loads about at the moment just have a good look around. You can get a minter for £300 with ease just keep your eye out. I paid £350 for a mint xe complete with a A pack head from Blydenstien, box loom everything bar shafts recent rebuild as well.

just picked one up today for mine, paid 175 for engine and gearbox, engine is 88k old, had new clutch and recon gearbox 4.5k ago. i had to look for about 4weeks to find it though. one will turn up at the right money for you though

your more than likly to find one for the right price,if your willing to travel,they dont come to your door mate. maybe stretch to around 100 mile either way!i can see youve been offered a couple already so its worth going to have a look!if not then be prepared to travel there always a couple on ebay etc.:)

mine was 11miles from my doorstep mate and he had sold one the week before that aswell, its all about waiting, i mean i from ipswich so a little way away from you, but as said above if no joy locally then travel and go get it, i mean collected the engine and gearbox in my fiesta.

well i helped the bloke take it out of the cavalier it was in and the clocks said 88,393 . should have taken a pic.

Buy anything, rip the head off and Give it a freshen up... Most are down on power these days anyways so its silly to throw an xe into a nova without doing at least the valve stem seals, Head gasket, Water pump, Belts, Shells and bearings etc.

Mine came from a 1990 H reg calibra with only 57'000 on the clocks! It had been parked in a garage since 1998 and never driven but started regularly:eek:
I give £200 for everything under the bonnet but had to remove myself (no hardship really). I fitted a new timing belt and stuck it in;)

got a 20xe unsure on the milage 300 still in a nova can be heard running had the ead off to replace all 16v less than 2k ago.
or got a c20 xe with cocast head and dis pac out the car for 350.
