Replacing front speakers to compliment my Technics Hi-fis :D
Want to know wether (spelling?) to opt for the following:
JVC CS-V424
or
Kenwood KFC-1051S
The kenwoods are are ones from Halfords, and the JVC ones I can get slightly cheaper at Wilco Motosave.
Both 10cm/4" but the JVC have a slightly higher output rating.
Anyone?

Kenwood, every day of the week. :thumb:
JVC are ok, but Kenwood take the trouble to tune their speakers depending on which part of the world they're selling them. Most decent speaker makers will sound different for the US, Europe and Asia. IIRC, JVC don't bother.
Also worth remembering that Kenwood specialise in car audio - JVC make all sorts of electrical gubbins.
Only my opinion though...

keenwood or sony .jvc is a budget set.
Kenwood specialise in car audio
No they dont
they do home cinema stuff too
And even Kitchen Electricals such as blenders!
Amongst other things
Im just being pedantic! ;)
But for me id go with the kenwoods anyway

Quite the opposite actually; JVC specialize in audio/visual whilst Kenwood make just about anything.
I'd go for the kenwoods though.

I hear yer...
I should have been more pedantic - the Kenwood Electronics bit of the company that does home AV is a different division to in-car. Particularly in the UK where they don't sell home AV anymore.
The Kenwood Limited toaster and blender company is a different company all together, just happens to have the same name.
From what I've seen in the past, JVC shares home and in-car AV technology across it's general AV base which in my opinion, makes it's offerings weaker than a company with a dedicated division.
I'm splitting hairs, I know...
Not worth mentioning that Kenwood will swallow JVC whole later this year when they take them over.
