Not bothered either way... like you I have a 'slight' sunstrip.

yeah rack sorted thanks mate, when into a bearing shop and got a bearing. Annoyingly I reckon using the sleeve to keep the bearing in place is needed, people run with out but there is a bit of play without. I may just use a circlip and a washer.

and the top tints would be £130.00+vat
we sell the clears out as singles from stock @ £140.00+vat
delivery with insurance to any mainland location is £40.00+vat

So basically us who are happy with clear only save £10 because we're going top tint! To get top tint though would mean min of ten orders either way, as 'they don't really sell them'. lmao

Top tinters, you need a minimum order of ten for them to even make them, I don't know what uses your going for, but if it was required couldn't you just get a non top tint and then get a window tinting company to do it for you. Reason I ask is it was hard enough getting 10 for non top tint, you'll be waiting years.

as ever, i have a contact that i gave welsh dan last time.

his name is ricky and he was spot on. i oredered my glass and got it two days later.




here is the biggest tip to anyone considering this.

if you are FULLY COMP on your insurance,
phone them and ask if they will give you the money for a aftermarket window as yours has broken. mine did and with fitting costs etc it only cost me about £50 in total out of my pocket.

so phone your companies now, see what they say (some will say autoglass only) and give yourself half a chance of getting this deal done and done with little exspense.

All details are in this thread mate. They are not fitted, thats a DIY job for you. Or you can pay a screen fitter to fit it if you are not confident enough. They are made in the same way as the fiesta ones, thin element wires in the screen. These will not have a top tint. That will cost more.

why go fully comp on your nova?

well, i am to say old enough to get this cheap enough.
fully comp with a protected fee to the cars value is where it makes the best sense. if you crash a nova, they will write it off by just looking at the name.
if your car is mint and you wanna keep it. well, makes sense.
plus you get windscreen cover protection.

i bought my windscreen and only paid £80 in the end, fitted and wired up.
insurance paid the rest.

i never did rj, i got a autoelectricain to do it. the worst thing i can do is electrics.
i know dar did his, you need a illuminating switch and a 30amp relay switch (i think) and wire it all up to your ignition. mine wasn't and i left it on, neitherless to say trying to push start a car on cobbles is not as easy as it sounds.

we got 9 for sure! just one more and the ball is rolling. srs not meaning to sound off key, however my car caught on famous if that was insured (for whatever value) it would have been written off, as I work on the car myself I have been able to fixit:)

I pm'd everyone details this morning, ignore them for now! Rick (who is a top bloke I may add) will pm me his e-mail add, I will then pm it to you guys. All you'll have to do is e-mail him your details (address, name, number etc etc) then he'll wrap the windscreen ready for delivery, ring you for payment over the phone and send it that day. This is to minimise problems with wrong addresses, and us getting upset with waiting for the window/someone being in to receive.

i did a google search on the part numbers listed on the side, lp0407 gets a good top result :eek:

where do you get these relays with the fuse built in, i can only find stand alone relays..

Heated Screen fitted today, i must say he is a fantastic bloke and the screen is spot on :) Cheers Fly for sorting this out,, hmm now to wire it :|

I got relays from a local motorfactors. Sorry I can't be much help. Try Maplin though.

I'm guessing your getting these screens from Ricky Evans Motorsport. I got mine from there and they are brilliant! Really nice to deal with :thumb:

116 +VAT iirc or 150+VAT for the top tint ones needless to say the top tint ones have to names me and aw06 lol

Yeah no one got a top tint, it was felt that this could be added later, those who didn't care would be better off buying the non top tint out of the group buy. I would get a pic of my normal one, but I don't want to handle it too much as it increases the risk of breakage! However you can be assured they are off top quality!
