my centrol locking has gone on the sri not a major problem but looked at it and i cant be bothered to try sort it so was thinking on just buying a cheap kit with remote like this
http:// cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-NOVA-ASTRA-CORSA-REMOTE-CENTRAL-LOCKING-KIT_ (http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?type=2&campid=5335828416&toolid=10001&customid=&ext=330264042040&item=330264042040)
i know there nothing great but the last type i got years ago for mk2 astra you could pop it by smacking it and been told cheap set ups like this the old (half tennis ball trick) opens it lol
true ??
The tennis ball trick would only ever work on a car with pneumatic central locking (air powered) like old mercs so youve no need to worry about that pne matey, and i reckon the old one you could "smack" to unlock may have been an inertia safety switch at a guess but on a decent system would only operate if the doors were locked whilst the ignition were on ie if you had a crash with the doors locked!
