View Full Version : coilover front spring height?

ive got a set of gaz coilovers and the srings are massive,i know the poundage i need. but its the size i need its sitting really high its currently got 12 inch springs on which i know is too high also i will be running 16 inch wheels ,whats a good size spring i was thinking of 6 inch but thought i would ask you guys first

I think that you should ring the gaz technical people & ask them for the correct way to sort it out.

Probably all the way down already/\
The standard gaz springs are 10"

i run 8 inch open length springs on mine with 16s, but you could go for 7's if you want to run it very low

they was but the ture rubs on the springs,the plate form needs to be higher than the tyre so ive been told

dont want it too low,think i will go with what your got 8 inch ones dont fancy scrapping over every speed bump lol,does rally design do the springs for these coilovers

sorry to sound stupid but i thought they was all the same except the poundage weights

ID is the diameter of the spring/profile; you can get many sizes but most commonly: 2",2.25" or 2.5". So its free/open length/height then poundage then the ID. Internal diameter.

so all i have to do is just measure the width of my spring and thats it as i know the pondage i need

yes the internal with. Chances are you will need 2.25 inch springs. If you have Gaz gold then they are 2.5 inch ID springs.

they look like the golds is there an adjusted knob on the body. at a guess I would say 2.5 springs.
