i need to put some bonnet vents in the bonnet on my car as it is running to hot. i have seen the triangular vents on early rally astras and mk2 escorts and i want to put some of these on but i cannot find any pictures of them anywhere. if any one has some can you post them up on here and if any one has any ideas of sizes etc and the best way to complete it that would be great and very much appreciated. just to help they are like one upside down traiangle and the a normal then upside dwn then normal all the way along.
hope someone can help me out of this hole.
cheers

Walshies old Nova used to have Manta 400 vents cut into it.
Yeah I thought that, can't remember if it was a f/g bonnet with them moulded in or if they were cut in though

simple make a template with a piece of card making sure its spot on etc place on the bonnet mark the required vents of the template, then get the grinder out!tidy the bears up with some wet and dry, filler, smooth off, prime, paint.and away you go and you can say i did that.come on its not that hard if you just take your time to do it right.

Thought it was. Ben Spencer yeh.
I'm matt from Ilkley & DMC....white Nova MK2. Did couple of tests this year (skipton & otley). Did a couple autotests last year in a black Punto too.
Nova's gotta be on the road in couple weeks so stopped the autotesting malarky, was starting to take its tole on wheel bearings, suspension etc.
Always wanted to know what you're car's running....mighty beast for a 1200.

once marked with the template, then yes you could possibly drill the corners,to make life a little easier when rubbing down.
size wise id say around three an half inch, when your in yours doing nothing, just try a little template, piece of card, pair of sissors, pencil(incase you dont get it first timelol and a ruler for size and straight edge.tell us how you got on;)

I've got a fiberglass 400 bonnet, i think your best bet is to carefully drill and cut them and then file them round. I've thought about it... But now got a CDA aifilter so going to remove one of my twin headlights or make a custom indicator.

Well wasnt planning on doing the Russel Farm autotest, but quite fancy it now.
Liked Russel Farm last year. Might just do that one to end the season. Not done as many as I had thought this year to be honest, got the car to autotest in and it hasnt really done a lot since.
