anywho welcome to the site

pmsl - why is it that whenever someone new joins we instantly pull them up on spelling.

lol

Anyone would think we were a bunch of English Teachers wearing cord jackets, leather patches and 1/2 mast trousers!

Perhaps we should have a PNG Exam - sort of like a Britishness test - but testing you on basic spelling and Nova knowledge!

lol

DAVE! - that's summut for you to do this evening - sort of homework like...

Anyway - welcome to the club matey - join for a tenner and get loads of other stuff!!

well i got a corsa with a c20xe conversion, i am from ipswich. i was advised to come on here as i was told it was friendly and very helpful so here i am.

The car needs a new engine as the previous owner has managed to strip the thread out the block on a head bolt, but picking new engine up saturday so hoping to have it in by the following weekend with a bit of lucky. will get some pics up once i can :) , but going to be changing quite a few thinks once i get the cash together.

/\/\ why not whip the head off & get an engineering firm to fit a helicoil or some other sort of insert???

well my local race tuning place said they could helicoil it but they wouldnt recommend it, but i will probably get to done it afterward and keep engine as a spare, i know i going to use the head of the engine thats in there now as its a coscast head. will look into it again though.

cheers for advice

will get helicoil done, but gonna fit other engine because previous owner i know has thrashed the tits out of it, so engine could prob do with a rebuild. the heads only had rebuild 8k ago but the bottom end is knocking aswell.
