so went for a fag at the back door. usually theres a couple slugs outside having a meet. but this time one of the little ba***rds got in my kitchen.

i scooped it up with a bit of paper and threw it outside. but im launching a full investigation in to how it got into my kitchen, and theres like 2 little baby ones there now.

They'll normally come in eating left over food

Just chuck a few bits of stale bread at the far end of your garden. Slugs love carbohydrates, so they'll be drawn down that end to munch on that, which means they arent squelching around under your feet near the house - or worse, in your kitchen.

theres always bits of food hanging about the garden for the birds to eat. im just suprised how the door was closed. i open the door and theres one on the mat down by my feet. its not as if he could of quickly snuck by me

I once turned round barefoot & trod on a 3" black slug on my kitchen floor!!!!!!!!!!!
it is surprisingly difficult to remove pulverised slug from the sole of your foot

As for getting in your kitchen - check the gap under your door - prob flattened itself down ans squeezed through...

getting through my door is one thing. but making it through my kitchen to my fridge would of been some mission for him. ive yet to do deep research. but to slugs have like mouths and stuff?

put a line a salt along your door. then you will see if they are coming in there
