Depends how much boost you want to run & how long you want your engine to work for lol

Use a T2 (Renault 5 GTT or RST) for a safe 12psi or something. Dont be tempted by the countless cheap T3's on ebay, there physically massive and will make muchos lag on a small engine.

i got a 1.6 gsi turbo too, running 14psi of boost. gotta be really careful with them. Pistons get hot n shatter, i experienced this and ended up with a 800 quid rebuild lol. but been fine since, nice responsive cars. 200bhp aint too bad from a small block either :P. Hope you go ahead and get one :P.

Great engine when up & running.

If you go down the route of building your own, I suggest you do some research (buy a book) & buy the parts you need in a methodical order & dont cut corners.
