right, been on the phone to a kid who says he has a pair of driveshafts and CV's removed from a 2.0 8v with a f16 box. Jackpot I thinks:D . He then tells me they won't fit an F20 box:confused: but they will fit a gte, gsi ,sr ect? how can they be from a 2.0 8v then:confused: :confused: :confused:

TBH, I don't think he knows! He bought them off someone else to use on his car but never got round to doing the conversion so he's never had them fitted to anything. This will be my 4th pair of shafts I've bought so far in the hunt to get my car on the road!. I could do without wasting any more money on wrong parts!

Have you got them to hand ? if you have measure the diameter of the end that goes into the gearbox & count the number of splines, i've got one sitting here (to suit an F16 / F20 ect..) that i could check if you want ?

There about 26mm and the ends have 34 splines.

If you put a vernier over the splines its around 2.5 cm thic. The end section that fits into the gearbox is around 5.5 cm?

The picture above are not 22 spline shafts so there is no way he fitted them to a F16 box.
Your mate had his pants pulled down, as they are standard 1.2 ect... shafts.
