i went to have a look at another engine for my nova today, n the guy had a 100% original mk1 astra gte sat on his drive. it was the most faded red ive seen for a while with a couple of very minor spots of rust, n mainly covered in moss, it is a complete car with nothing missing at all. he said it runs fine but does smoke abit. the interior was mint, and looked to be very solid underneth, under the bonnet is very tidy, it needs a little love and a respray, i was thinking of buying it, respraying it, mot then flog it on, all though id love it for myself. the guy only wanted £300 for it which i think is just too cheap to let go whats your opinion on this 1?
do you think theres much money to be made in this one? i do.

its a very tidy car indeed, i will be seriously interested in buying it as a long term project for myself, to make concours style. but i love the nova too much and have allways dreamed of a concours turbo nova if i ever had a long term project. ill take my old man with me to pick the engine up this week n see what he thinks hes allways up for buying a car if he can see the potentiol.

for 300 quid its worth buying to break,but if the chassis and bodywork is solid enough,then it definatly needs a good going over and putting back on the road:) ,im sure many agree its in the same class if not one more imo than a nova,if it is solid and you DONT BUY IT ill offer you 75quid for the details first lol.
