right ive recently found myself a set of alloys with calibra/cav tyres on them
http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103077
they will be coming off very soon.and wheels refurbed.
i know most of you use a 195 "45" 15 tyre on them, but im looking to put 195 "50" 15 tyres on them,im asuming this should be ok,as the offset is 49 etc and the car is still at standard ride height(not lowered),could this be confirmed please???
also if and when i do come to lower the car would it be ok with the tyres mentioned to drop 40mm all round without problems????
cheers andy

I would say yes....Theres not that much difference between 45 and 50mm profile and 40mm isnt that low

usually fine, be careful with the shape of the tyre though! I had some 50's with very square sidewalls that scrubbed a wee bit occasionally

You'll be fine with 195/50/15 lowerd 40 and you wont have a prob, you might if you go lower tho.

Mate had his nova lowered 40 with 195/50/15 proxes and it used to run now and then. Might need the arches trimmed a bit, but the only rear way to know for sure is to put them on and see.

i had ceasarros on mine dropped 60mm. they have an offset of ET49 i had a mix match of tires on them all 195/50/15 and i had no rubbing at all. no mods done to the arches either
then i got 4 bridgestones 195/50/15 and they were fine to

you will be ok trust me lol

I think he said three pound a valve and then five pound for balencing and I thought that was dear. Maybe its not to bad, when I spoke to them they said it was free postage or fitting, which isn't too bad but then I realised they wanted another thirty quid for them to any use to me
