Found Myself Some New Wheels!

was in the scrapyard yesterday and came across these

ive had a bit of a problem trying to get the locking nuts off but with a bit of pursuasion of the ****** and a ****** ******(cheers ernie:thumb: )they finaly came off, only gave 40 pound for the set there 6jx15 et49 gm wheel the tyres will be taken off tomorrow(scrapyard a bit too busy today) and will be on the hunt for some decent rubber,there to be blasted by the gaffers mate then sealed with a chemical to seal the alloy, then two coats of primer.(all FREE of charge:) )ive not yet decided which colour to have them!
also have the centre caps but have removed the circular badges out the centres

im thinking anthracite myself(possibly with a red same colour as the car lip!)daves gonna do me a couple of photoshops on the wheels;) and see what looks best! will aslo see what other peoples opinions are:)

Lovely wheels, think they are originally from a Tigra. Look greats with 45's.

I vote silver, especially as you have a fairly original GTE.

cheers guys and girls,i feel im getting a positive feedback about the wheels,i know there "not" a rare item(well couldnt find any on ebay,here etc.must be lol)any hows i have "4" colours in mind and these like this:note sure how to put a vote up???

1,fully silver?

2,anthractie star,silver lip/background?

3,fully anthracite?

4,fully anthracite,with fine calypso red lip?

what you reckon boys and girls?could anyone possibly turn this into a "vote" maybe,just to peoples views?????
i know this should now possibly be put in "styling"!!!

Realy dont think them wheels will suit a nova! imo.
but if you have to, anthresite is still cool! silver is boring!

right guys,ive decided to paint them "vauxhall smoke grey metallic" a friend of a fieind had some spare and i thought id put it too good use,free of course.there also in the gaffers brothers yard being blasted,free of course(well maybe a little backhander:) )should recive them back primed in two weeks time,just for when a good freind gets back of holiday and sprays them up with the gun(cant wait to see the finnished product)also have some new griffin badges for the centre caps:) up to now its cost me:

wheels(alloys)-£40
centre caps badges-£12
blasting-free
paint for wheels-free
wheels painted-free
now its just the dreaded cost of the rubber i have to fit the best quote ive recieved is 4 fedral tyres fitted and balanced £145.50!!!

What colours your car? I vote choice 3. Post up some finished pics. Are those wheels also fitted to calibras? £145.50 squid for tyres dont sound bad.. what size?

right finaly got my wheels back tonight after 2 month of them being in the blasting booth(me being lazy and not picking them up)anyway here is the wheels now theve been "glass basted"

ive been to a paint shop by me for a 1ltr of primer and thinners,laquer and decided on "vauxhall smoke grey metallic"as the finnish,BUT im not to sure,would someone please do me a photoshop of them in white with red lip,and also a anthracite colour please.comments welcome:)
