View Full Version : Oil Pressure Sensor

I want to fit a digi dash, but as i only have a 1.0 there is no oil pressure sensor, i was wondering if anyone knows where about i can find this in an SR so i can go and get one from the scrappy ?!!?! how hard are they to fit ?????

speak to the dealer to see if there is a genuine option, or have a look in the book at your local factor, and see if another model uses the same oil switch as yours, and then look for a sender that fits that model. getting one from a scrappy is a false economy.

um the 1.0 is a totally different engine so i cant see the SR sensor workin

it dont really matter anyway - mine is a 1.2i and doesnt have the pressure sender and the guage simply goes to max and stays there

really not worth the hassle tbh

oil pressure thingy mabob can be put on a 1 litre. the sensor is in a different place though.

follow the wires in your engine bay down to the engine and replace it with the new two wire one - it MUST have one already because A) my mate did it and B) you wouldnt have a oil warning light otherwise!!! the oil can with ring round it on standard dash
