View Full Version : What Spray Paint Can I Use To Spray The Rocker Cover And Manifold?

I want to re-spray the rocker cover/cam cover and manifold a nice new colour. what paint do i get? theres a certain type isnt there, for heat resistance? thanks. . :thumb:

You can get 'very hot temperature (VHT) paint' for use on exhaust manifolds. I used that on mine when I first fitted it but it's all come off now.

You could use that on your rocker cover too, but I used normal tinned paint and it's been fine.

and i need lacquer to make it shiny dont i? heat resistant laquer. i cant find any clear lacquer tho, would silver do? like make it shiny on silver paint anyway

For the rocker cover normal lacquer should be fine but you wont need it for the manifold

Hammerite smooth and a good laquer should be good enough to use on the rocker cover and cam cover. You gcould always heat wrap your manifold with heat tape instead of painting it??!!
