Hi All,

I think it's fair to say that EVERYONE loves the OLD SKOOL THREAD.

I have been offered something interesting by a customer, and I think we, as a club, may be interested.

He has got 120 mint issues of MAX POWER magazine, from 1994 until 2004, ten whole years (and the best years of course!) and they are complete. Containing features such as Jon Shields turbo (6 page feature) Irish Lotus Nova, Brett's when blue (2x DIFFERENT features I believe?) Irish black GSI on 17" Raffino's, Searle brothers cars, JDHaslams (REAL old skool!) Nova thrash at Pod (REALLLYYY OLD SKOOL!)and lots and lots more.

Now, here's the crack. I think that we should buy them for the club (PNG) and scan them to put on here IN THE old skool thread. Then "whoever" in the club keeps them as an "assett"??

The bad news is that he wants £120. . . . . (but you can't get em anywhere else again-ever so £1 each maybe ain't that bad?)


What do you reckon? 120 of us ALL put a pound in, I'll get em and drop em off at Riggy's (North west co-ordinator) and the committee can sort it from there?????

How about copyright issues? Surely the magazine publisher holds copyright over the images/reports in each mag - one or two pics/reports being posted on a forum by various users they probably turn a blind eye to, but 10 years worth of material they may frown upon.

If they're ok with it though, it sounds like a good idea.

I have just frew out a load of old car mags REVS / MAXPOWER / FASTCAR these were all in my garage and they where from the 90s until about 2000. ive got some old PNG club mags from 1998 to 2000 (not 100% sure on dates) im goin to put them on here see if they sell cheers

i have over 130 fast car/redline/maxpower mags,theres a few nova's/vauxhalls in them(also some of the wonderful nat marley poster;s and other poster;setc) you can have them for FREE,its seems i just cant give these away otherwise there all going on the big bonfire when the time comes.
