They should have put a Vectra 2.5 V6 in it then it would be more to my liking

High horsepower engines are against the strict regulation of that type of race car.

Same as WRC rallying, total hp output limit for Group A WRC is 300 IIRC.

EDIT: And do you know how much standard YB's sell for :thumb: A long studded motorsport block with minor mods to see 300bhp YB lump is worth ITRO £4k+ dependant on what been done to it. Thats excluding £700+ of MT75 box.

I have got one of these, a MK4 Escort built by Chris Ludlow in 1997, it can use an XE, Cossy, or RV8 engines.

I had chris build my escort manifold and exhaust as he works about a mile up the road, and from what i have seen his work is second to none the tig welding is just superb i was speaking to him last week and they are currently making moulds for a mk1 escort, now that will be special

theirs a track local to me that the national hotrods race on (stockcars) most of them use xe's with 48's hotrod management etc. good for 240 bhp i think and they run standard bottom ends iirc.

Never seen them race properly, only indoors at the NEC.
