Hi.....

Wondered if anyone can help me with this question ..

is it possible to put a Cavalier GSI 2.0l in to a Nova using the original 1.3SR gearbox ?

Also, how do I know what wires to attach to the existing loom?

YES, its would be POSSIBLE

But it would be VERY difficult seeing as the flywheel is too big to fit in the clutch is wrong etc, FAR easier to use the cav gsi box as well.
Plus you bust the 1.3 box apart with that much torque.

No problem, BTW make sure you mod the heater pipe where it goes into the bulkhead or it will catch on the back of the engine, and the bottom pulley needs modifying too to remove the power steering pulley.
Also you need to modify (read: BEAT WITH HAMMER) the passenger side inner wing for clearance for the alternator pulley.
