Has anyone experienced this, quite odd.....
Recently i just changed my alternator as i was suspecting its not charging the battery enough although the light didnt come on to confirm, just Judged by the volt meter on the instruments.
The Guy exchanged it for a 70am alternator as apposed to the 55am you get as standard (on the gte) and gave me some nonsense about its better lalala.
Anyway wasn't too bothered about that, are there any pros or cons? Notice the mpg is better since. I'm running a alpine head unit and when played loud it keeps cutting out, when i look at the volt meter its below the half mark. Then all i do it rev the car over 3/4 k rev then it stays above half, until the next day or when i have to restart the car some few hours later.
Is the sterio demanding too much current, or i now think the battery is on its way out too hence the volt indicator is always below half until you rev it.
