Parts for Novas are vanishing off the radar.Ive just rang Vauxhall for an Sr throttle cable and they are apparently no longer stocked.Where the funk am i to get one from? My local motor factor said to ring Vauxhall who say they are NLS:mad:

they say to me all the time that they 'dont keep it in stock' i say well can u order it in then? yes it will be here tomorrow morning. . . just ask if they can order it in im sure they wil.

i went to scrappy needed a new door. i looked around for AGES and the only nova there was absolutely fooked, bent completely out of shape. brought a tear to my eye :'( but i cant believe only 1 old nova there. . . in a scrappy. . nova. . . 1 !. . .

Last time i saw a nova in scrappy was last year summer and that was an sri!

Also there was mint, no rust nova with fooked engine at scrappy :(

My local dealership managed to get me brand new sideskirt clips and headlight clips but never really tried to order any of the rare parts i.e new sideskirts etc

All the sporty model'd Novas are really rare in the scrappys as well

I see them in my local scrap yards quite often. Usually base models though. There is a sweet A reg china blue one with no wheels looking sorry for itself. No rust to be seen (interior is pretty stripped) only damage i can see it a barrelled lock :(

There isn't enough money to be made from them for me to buy, with not having a Nova at the minute lol
Tailgates change hands for 15/20 quid. He would probably want 30 for it lol
They are very strange with their prices, sometimes very cheap, other times not so!

visit a motorcycle or bicycle shop for a solderless nipple. (huh huh he said nipple)

Yeah ive heard about those,arent they a temporary fix though craig?

Probs do as good a job as any tbh tho andy and bonus is if you create some kind of clip to make sure the (huh huh) nipple dont bail if cable snaps you can re-use it!

And there hasnt been a nova in any of our scrapyards for about 3 or more years tbh, there aint any round here otr or in scrappys!!!

No, a normal nipple is crimped or soldered on. solderless is bolted on.

Its not like your life is hanging by the accelerator cable anyway....
